Larry Bowa goes volcanic, gets ejected as benches nearly clear vs. Mets

Phillies bench coach Larry Bowa was ejected in the seventh inning of tonight’s 6-5 loss to the Mets, and made sure to get his money’s worth as he threw a couple of F-bombs Daniel Murphy’s way and threatened him with a beaning. As of now, the whole thing doesn’t make too much sense, but here’s what we know so far. With Darin Ruf in the batter’s box, Robles sneaked quick pitch into home plate, which no one in the Phillies dugout was too pleased about– particularly Jeff Francouer and Larry Bowa. The inning before Bowa was ejected, Travis d’Arnaud ostentatiously flipped his bat after a bases-loaded walk, and perhaps that started Bowa’s blood boiling.
