IndyCar driver Justin Wilson dead at 37 after fatal crash at Pocono Raceway

IndyCar driver Justin Wilson has died from a head injury he sustained in a race over the weekend, racing officials announced Monday evening. "Anyone who follows our sport knows Justin is one of the most highly respected people in our business. He will be missed," IndyCar CEO Mark Miles said in announcing Wilson's death. The British driver’s head was struck by a piece of debris from another car. His car then veered into an interior wall. The last person to die in IndyCar during a race was Indianapolis 500 champion Dan Wheldon in 2011.
