Warriors Klay Thompson Knee To Head Freak Injury (Video)


Warriors guard Klay Thompson left Wednesday's 104-90 win against the Rockets in Game 5 of the Western Conference finals due to a right ear laceration. In the fourth quarter, Thompson pump-faked to get Trevor Ariza in the air, who then accidentally collided his knee into the right side of Thompson's head. He was diagnosed with the ear injury and didn't need to be administered a concussion test,Thompson left the game and was checked out by the Warriors training staff. They determined it was only an ear laceration, but it looked a lot worse. In fact, it kind of looked like his brain was leaking out of his head.He suffered a “right ear laceration” and was cleared to re-enter the game by team physicians. However, once he returned to the court, he began to bleed from his ear and was forced to return to the locker room.
