Nate Gerry ejected for targeting after brutal hit

Nebraska safety Nate Gerry was ejected in the first half of the Huskers’ game against UCLA for “targeting.” Pretty much everyone seems to disagree with the call, which was upheld after a review. after he was ejected in the second quarter for targeting following a helmet-to-helmet hit on Iowa receiver Tevaun Smith. The Hawkeyes are eyeing 12-0 with a win over Nebraska, and will have to capitalize on Gerry's absence to get there. The Hawkeyes led 14-7 and were going for 3rd and 6 when Gerry went low and connected with Smith's helmet.
