Jason Day's wife, Ellie, injured after collision with LeBron James

A scary scene unfolded on Thursday night when LeBron James dove into the seats for a loose ball and landed on top of a woman sitting in the front row. The incident came late in the fourth quarter and as James dove into the stands, he collided with the woman and then appeared to land on top of her. Ellie attempted to shield herself from the 203cm, 113kg four-time NBA MVP as he barrelled towards her, her folding chair seemingly failing to withstand the impact, sending her crashing onto the floor. James and the Cavaliers gave Ellie a round of applause as she was taken from the stadium. The game was stopped briefly as medical officers attended to Day, with broadcasters saying she was “up and talking”. James checked on her during the team’s time-out.
