Thiago Santos def. Steve Bosse knockout (head kick) – Round 1 in 29 seconds
Thiago Santos needed just one kick to put Steve Bosse down and out with one of the most vicious knockouts so far in 2015 as he got the finish at just 29 seconds into the first round.
Santos is well known for being a very heavy-handed striker, so facing a fellow knockout artist like Bosse was just inviting something bad to happen in this matchup.Santos came out aggressive and began looking for low kicks right away to the body and to the legs to see if he could get Bosse's guard to drop.
Sure enough a couple of hard shots forced the Canadian to reach down with his hands to block the kicks and that was the only opening Santos needed to end the fight. The official end came at the 0:29 mark of the first round when Santos let fly a head kick and caught Bosse’s head with his shin. Bosse, who made his debut after a short-notice fight against Fabio Maldonado fell through at UFC 186, dropped instantly to the mat and forced the referee to intervene.
