Yankees' pitcher Bryan Mitchell bloodied by line drive to face, leaves game
Yankees pitcher Bryan Mitchell got drilled in the face by a line drive off the bat of the Twins’ Eduardo Nuñez in the top of the second on Monday. Mitchell left the game.
It was a very scary scene at Yankee Stadium. Mitchell was still in the follow-though of his pitch and wasn’t able to get his glove up in time. He was on the ground for a moment before walking off the field with a towel covering his face.
